Softwarefabrikant Andes heeft zijn hoofdkantoor in Eindhoven, Nederland. Het bedrijf is marktleider in Nederland en biedt steden en regionale overheden software voor proces automatisering op het gebied van vergunningen en meldingen. Aangezien het marktaandeel in Nederland op een bepaald moment nog maar weinig groeipotentieel bood en Duitsland op het gebied van digitalisatie achterliep op Nederland, lag de stap naar de Duitse markt voor de hand.

De grote uitdaging was om als buitenlandse softwareproducent Duitse overheden als klant te winnen. Gelet op de destijds relatieve onbekendheid met SaaS oplossingen, de regels voor bescherming van persoonsgegevens en andere juridische kwesties, was het een absolute uitdaging om de, als nogal conservatief beschouwde, doelgroep te overtuigen van een “pionierssamenwerking” met een Nederlandse leverancier.

Samenwerking met INDIPA

Partner voor de Duitse markt

Reeds vanaf het begin was INDIPA Andes’ partner voor de Duitse markt. INDIPA identificeerde klanten en contactpersonen en regelde persoonlijke afspraken met hen.

INDIPA-directeur Christoph Schulte werd al gauw de Duitse vertegenwoordiger van Andes. Christoph begeleidde de persoonlijke afspraken van Andes medewerkers en voerde deze ook deels op eigen verantwoordelijkheid uit. Hier bleef het niet bij; Christoph Schulte begeleidde het market entry proces gedurende meerdere jaren totdat de samenwerking met de eerste overheidsinstanties begon. Tot die tijd waren er verschillende meetings nodig zoals salespresentaties, coördinatiebijeenkomsten en onderhandelingen met potentiële klanten. De wensen en eisen van de overheden met betrekking tot het digitaliseren en automatiseren van hun werkprocessen moesten begrepen en in kaart gebracht worden, hetgeen INDIPA eveneens met succes begeleidde.

Vervolgens ondersteunde INDIPA Andes bij de oprichting van een Duitse GmbH en fungeert sindsdien als maatschappelijk zetel voor het technologiebedrijf.

Tevens adviseerde INDIPA Andes ook op het gebied van de bescherming van persoonsgegevens en assisteerde ze bij het vinden van een Duitse hosting partner.

De groei van Andes in Duitsland maakte de oprichting van een speciaal sales team noodzakelijk. Christoph Schulte is nauw betrokken bij het proces van het selecteren en aannemen van salesmedewerkers van Andes. Hij begeleidt ook nauwgezet de onboarding van sales medewerkers en geeft individuele sales trainingen als onderdeel hiervan.

Bovendien biedt het INDIPA-team al jaren lang de customer support aan Andes klanten.

Andes is erin geslaagd om haar bedrijf in Duitsland succesvol op te zetten en groeit inmiddels hard. INDIPA en haar Managing Director Christoph Schulte hebben hierin een belangrijke rol gespeeld. INDIPA is vanaf het begin op vele niveaus zeer succesvol geweest in het ondersteunen van de market entry en groei van Andes in Duitsland.

Number of foreign companies grows – British in the lead

Figures from a new IHK study prove the continued high attraction of the state capital for foreign companies. More than one of six member-companies of the Düsseldorf Chamber of Commerce and Industry has majority foreign share capital or is run by foreigners. Since the last analysis of this kind in 2019, the number of foreign companies registered in the commercial register in the CCI district has risen by 11 per cent – and even by 60 per cent since 2010.

Due to Brexit, the largest group for the first time is made up of companies from the United Kingdom (704), followed by Greater China (654), the Netherlands (586), the USA (412), Switzerland (360), Luxembourg (322), France (284) and Japan (267). With 1,653 companies, trade is the most strongly represented sector of the companies registered in the commercial register.

The Managing Director International at the Düsseldorf Chamber of Commerce and Industry emphasises that to ensure the region remains a centre of attraction for interational companies and investors, the hard and soft location factors must contain to be steadily improved. These include uncomplicated entry and residence options, transport and digital infrastructure, a secure energy supply, sufficient commercial space and the availability of skilled workers.

The German Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs expects that by 2035 there will no jobs any more, where AI is not relevant. The estimates of PwC suggest, that AI could contribute up to 15.7 trillion US dollars to the global economy by 2030.

The term “Industry 4.0” came up at the Hannover Trade Fair in Germany in 2011 and described the innovative use of digital technologies.
